Q. How do I know I need custom orthotics?

A. There are many health practitioners that only advertises the benefit of custom orthotics is aligning lower limb and body to neutral position to allow the lower limbs to function in it's most efficient and injury preventative state. However, custom orthotics has many more functions than just correcting alignment. Adding a variety of modifications and designs to custom orthotics can relief callouses, warts, corns, heel spurs, and much more. Patients that are diabetic, arthritic, or bear simply any skin conditions will benefit from specially designed custom orthotics as well. 

 

Q. Do I need a prescription for custom orthotics?

A. Yes. Custom orthotics are medical devices and require prescriptions in order to be dispensed from a C. Ped (C). Prescriptions can generally be provided to you from either your MD, Podiatrist or Chiropodist. 

 Q. Do I need to pay taxes for custom orthotics?

A. No. Custom orthotics are prescribed medical devices at zero-rated tax.
